medical malpractice

Wow, medical malpractice is no small practice. I couldn't believe the statistics i saw on medical malpractice within the state of Utah. There are a lot of people however that can be a little paranoid when it comes to one little small mistake. We do want the best treatment and with all the money we are draining into the medical practice we do deserve the best. However we do need to realize that sometime mistake are made.

active vs. passive


Alright, so I tend to have a big problem with writing in the passive tense. Most of everything that happens in life is in the past. So here are some key things to keep us all from using the passive voice.

ACTIVE: Tim killed the chicken hawk.

PASSIVE: The chicken hawk was killed by Tim.

Here is the link to the State court system that allows the complainant to file a medical malpractice case. To establish medical malpractice, [name of plaintiff] has the burden of proving three things: (1) first, what the standard of care is; (2) second, that the [provider/doctor] failed to follow this standard of care; and, (3) third, that this failure to follow the standard of care was a cause of [name of plaintiff]’s harm.

spelling bee anyone?

I really was a great speller back in the day. Now i'm just horrible with words. I'm always having to look up words in the dictionary it drives me nuts. Here are some great rules I learned.
example: Add -es to the singular form when it ends in s, ss, ch, sh, x, z, or zz:
bus, buses, kiss, kisses, church, churches, bush, bushes, ax, axes, waltz, waltzes, fizz, fizzes.
